I was born in Nigeria but now live in the UK where I work as a Programme Manager in a place that celebrates work life balance and a positive work experience.
I love cooking and eating spicy food, watching gritty TV shows and trying out restaurants with my husband Femi.
I currently live in an Essex village with my husband and two daughters.
The Lost Khaki Girls, a romantic thriller is my first novel.
I wrote my first story when I was 9 years old and sold it to my neighbourhood friends. I think it had about 10 pages.
I was quite excited to have written and sold a storybook so I was happy to re-write it every time a potential buyer requested a copy (I wish I had that much time to now).
As you can imagine, the story got longer and more colourful with each subsequent draft.
This ability to determine what happened to each character in my book was a heady feeling that set the writing ball rolling for me.
Books! obviously. I'm a voracious reader and cannot imagine a train journey or car ride without a book in my hand.
I have since fallen into the bad habit of reading two or three books at the same time. I want to stop this and just focus.
So yes books make me tick, and dark chocolate and my kids...
